Join us for a workshop on community-building and classroom engagement in this webinar led by Sean Gray, Cobb County Fire Captain and Sally Creel, STEM and Innovation Supervisor of Cobb County Schools. Captain Gray and Dr. Creel are architects of an effective community partnership between Cobb Fire and Cobb Schools. This partnership fully utilized education and fire expertise to strengthen UL Xplorlabs: Fire Forensics as an effective, relevant learning tool for students.

Sally Creel, Ed.D.
STEM & Innovation Supervisor/Professional Development Consultant

Sally Creel, K-12 STEM & Innovation Supervisor for Cobb County Schools in Georgia, has spent the last 26 years as an educator, science and STEM administrator working with leaders, teachers and K–12 students. Sally also works as a professional development consultant for several organizations including the National Science Teaching Association, Georgia DOE, Kennesaw State University, Picture Perfect Science, Teacher Created Materials and various MSP grants.  Sally has served as a consultant and contributing author on a number of publications including the Smithsonian’s STEAM Readers series and STEM Position Statement for the National Science Teaching Association.

Captain Sean Gray
Cobb County Fire and Emergency Services

Sean Gray currently holds the rank of Captain with Cobb County Fire and Emergency Services in Metro Atlanta and has been in the fire service since 1993. He has a bachelor’s degree in Fire Safety Engineering and is working towards furthering his education. He has been a member of multiple technical panels involving firefighter safety research and is a NFPA committee member for Fire Hose and Fire Service Training Facilities. He recently co-authored a PennWell Publications DVD and Book titled- The Evolving FireGround. He has also been published in multiple Fire Service magazines, is an FDIC H.O.T. Lead instructor, runs the website stopbelievingstartknowing.com, and delivers evidence-based tactics training classes across the U.S.
